Channel 3's own Katia Uriarte participated in the 1st Annual Celebrity Basketball Game Scholarship Fundraiser. The game was held on Saturday, June 7 at Ray High School Gym. Katia and her team, the Leadfirst Stars, played a friendly game of basketball against some current Dallas Cowboy. I have to say Katia held her own agains some very tall Cowboys players.
The event was family friendly and very entertaining. Some of the Dallas Cowboys who were present were Sam Hurd, Marcus Spears, and Terence Newman to name a few. Fans were able to obtain autographs from the Dallas Cowboys players before, during and after the game.
