Shana Lipstreu, age 29, made her 1st solo sail. It was hard to tell who was more excited, Shana or the volunteers. She has been sailing with the CC Sail AWAY progam since it began 3 years ago. What makes this program and its sailors unique is that each sailor has some form of disability or health condition. Shana has cerebral palsy. This experience has brought her a sense of freedom, accomplishment and great pride.
The volunteers are WONDERFUL and without them it would not be such a success.
