Though nearly 200 miles to the north of Corpus Christi Hurricane Ike made our Padre Island and bay waters roil and toil from the troubles of nature's child. I wonder if the earth gets so hot that it needs these wind chimneys to release the build up of heat from the warming of the earth. More heat, more hurricanes are needed to spout off the effects of global warming. Man made or a natural cycle, the earth is warming up. That's no doubt. Put your money on it. Take it to the bank. The world is a hotter place than what it used to be in the last two hundred or so years.
