I'm a professional executive new to town, and am staying in a downtown hotel. My view is straight on to the marina and I've loving it. I saw some sailboats heading out, and rushed to go photograph them (I'm also a professional photographer). With it being so overcastted today, I knew I wouldn't have very good lighting but figured...what the heck. When I got down to the pier I noticed that the sailboats were one man rentals. It was a group of young men and I snapped a few shots. I thought it disappointing at first, but then thought...God must have brought me down here for a reason (even if it was to excercise). So I headed back up the pier and started photographing the pelicans when I turned to my right and noticed the attached...I was amazed and blessed. I was so excited and could hardly believe my eyes...then prayed that my shots would come out well. A few passer bys noticed what I was shooting and stopped to marvel. Eventually the pelican flew away, and I wonder if I'll ever see him again. God is good and it's a beautiful day. Thank you God! (My mobile number is (210) 354-5164)

I saw the bird and shot a photo of it today. Look at http://corpuschristiphotos.blogspot.com to see the latest sighting. Jeff

From what I've been told, these birds are very smart...and if he wanted to have this rosary remove...it would be done. It's unfortunate that there's always negative people who would rather see the glass half empty, than to appreciate such a site!

Half empty? I would call it living a life without a delusion put forth by those who didn't know any better.

Someone who says they believe in God and tells people to be "wise" makes me giggle like a little school girl.

Thank you for bringing a bit of joy to our troubled community. Your article helped me to remember that God's simple pleasures are the best of all.

My religious beliefs are my own, and I gave no permission to take this photo of me!

Twas no miracle, but a person who put this rosary on this bird. It is now catching on his wings and tangling in his feet. We have to get it off. Birds are smart but die from human trash everyday.

This is GREAT!! what a better place than CORPUS CHRISTI !! with the beautiful water and friendly smiles of most south Texans, God sends messages in the most smallest way but, we are so busy with our own lives that we just dont see it!! GOD LOVES US

Regardless of one's religious beliefs, the rosary is a danger to the bird. Perhaps the message was to find a way to assist this beautiful creature so that it would no longer be in danger due to the thoughtlessness of a human.

I think everyone is entitled to think what they want but just the thought that someone wanted you to be out there on a day the would most likely not give you a good picture is a sign. The Lord works in many ways and I think this a reminder to PRAY

THank you for your positive reinforcement and kind words. I do BELIEVE! I hope everyone will take a moment to appreciate the blessings each day brings us. (And, if you're not religious...the beauty, each day brings us.) Either way...be thankful!

Thank you for sharing that magical image of the Pelican wearing a rosary. I was immensely touched by the message it conveyed. I also believe you've been gifted with sharing it's message. Shine on! :)

cmm: It's called the First Amendment. Learn it, Live it, Love it. And if you actually feel challenged by a comment on the net than maybe your "faith" is what needs to be paid attention to and not demanding others to succumb to one's delusions.

WHY did it not occur to you that god was asking you to help remove the rosary from the poor bird before he became caught on something and died a horrible slow death?!?!
