Corpus Christi (KIII NEWS) — "We were riding some of the rides an hour before they opened to the public, we have some wonderful catered meals during the day, some surprises, Q and A with park management," David Lipnicky, ACE member said.
David Lipnicky has been a part of ACE for almost 40 years and says while he loves the parks it's a drop in the swimming pool compared to the friendships he's made in the club.
"I have friendships now going on for 25 years and people I travel with all the time," Lipnicky said. "It's just fantastic."
Jennifer Mcintyre has also been an ACE member for many years.
She says she went on her first ride when she was 6 months and her parents made her a member when she was only two-years-old.
So how many roller coasters has she ridden in her life time?
"300 now," Mcintyre said.
That's a lot ,but she says in the summer heat roller coasters aren't always the way to go.
"I kind of really like the water parks just because you get to stay a little cooler," Mcintyre said. "A lot of the summer in Texas is hot so it's a lot better temperature wise."
And Schlitterbahn Corpus Christi says with having new investors after Hurricane Harvey they hope more people will continue to enjoy their park.
"They are putting money into this park, they are making it better and greater than it ever has been and taking it into an exciting future," Winter Prosapio, Schlitterbahn public relations said.
