Mariah Gallegos is a multi-skilled journalist at KIII-ABC affiliate in Corpus Christi, Texas. She covers a range of topics including most recently the coronavirus pandemic and the 2020 presidential election. She also strives to build relationships within the community and highlight impactful stories for her audience.
She came to the coast after spending time in the desert. She graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. During her time in college she was a reporter for Cronkite News; covering next-generation innovation, education and politics. She interned at KJZZ an NPR station where she wrote and voiced news stories daily for on-air radio.
Gallegos is passionate for storytelling because she believes everyone has a voice and deserves the chance to be heard.
Her hobbies include enjoying the coastal water, visiting her family in Houston, and watching true-crime documentaries.
