CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Residents and visitors in the Coastal Bend are celebrating Independence Day, but no Fourth of July celebration is complete without a fireworks show! Fortunately, there are multiple opportunities to catch one.
The biggest fireworks celebration in the Coastal Bend is likely the Mayor's Big Bang Celebration Fireworks Show in Corpus Christi. It is hosted by H-E-B and runs from 9:30-10 p.m. Visitors can watch from along the Corpus Christi Bayfront including Water's Edge Park, Cole Park, or viewing parties like the Red, White & Boom Fireworks Viewing Party on the flight deck of the U.S.S. Lexington or a viewing hosted by the nearby Texas State Aquarium.
There are also fireworks shows on Padre Island, in Rockport, and in Port Aransas.
