HOUSTON — Houston-based company Landry's warns customers that a 2019 credit card breach has affected its network of over 60 national restaurant chains.

Restaurants affected include Rainforest Cafe, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Morton's Steakhouses and Joe's Crab Shack.

Landry's is recommending a series of steps to take for your security if you dined at any of their restaurants between March 13, 2019 and Oct. 17, 2019 - though the breach may have affected a small number of their locations as early as Jan. 18, 2019.

According to the company, "[cards] appear to have been mistakenly swiped by waitstaff on devices used to enter kitchen and bar orders, which are different devices than the point-of-sale terminals used for payment processing. The payment cards potentially involved in this incident are the cards mistakenly swiped on the order-entry systems."
