Remember that 800-pound shark that was caught off the coast of Port Aransas a couple weeks ago? On Tuesday, some of that shark was put to good use at Timon's Ministries.
The shark meat, about 60 pounds worth, was donated by the fisherman who caught the shark. The first attempt at cooking the meat for a meal proved to be a little tough, but once the chef's decided to try the meat in a gumbo, the meal turned out to be perfect. There were no leftovers.
Those in charge at Timon's Ministries told 3News they are always grateful for any food donations.
