Accused police shooter Travis Magill was back in Judge Missy Medary's court Thursday morning for a rescheduled status hearing to determine his legal representation.
The hearing was originally scheduled for Tuesday morning but was postponed because Magill's attorney, Mark Garcia, had not yet contacted Nueces County District Attorney Mark Skurka. It was rescheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, and at 9:25 a.m., Garcia arrived in the courtroom to provide the judge and district attorney with his contact information and confirm that he will represent Magill in court.
Magill is accused of shooting and wounded two police officers on March 20 at Pebble Beach and Congressional. He was shot when officers returned fire and tried to get away in one of the officer's police cruisers, but crashed into a pole in front of the Corpus Christi Country Club and was detained.
Magill faces two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
