CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Adopt, don't shop, is the motto at Corpus Christi Animal Care Services.
On Sunday, employees hosted the Memorial Day Adoption Event to encourage military members to adopt a furry friend.
Adoption fees were waived with a valid military ID to show appreciation to their service and sacrifices.
CCACS also featured ten VIP dogs who have been at the facility for a long time, in hopes of finding them a forever home.
Wellness on Wheelz attended the event to offer vaccines, flea and tick prevention, and micro chipping.
