Imagine enjoying a day at the beach, when something catches your eye.

For the second time in the last two weeks, another local resident has found a message in a bottle along the shore. Darlene Childers was at the beach in Port Aransas with her husband, when they found the bottle and inside there was a piece of paper with writing on it.

It was hidden in the sand and the seaweed. So they opened up the bottle and read the letter written by Captain Walter Lee.

Turns out, Captain Lee had been out on a shrimp boat for 16 days off the shore of Cameron, Louisiana.

The letter was dated August 10, 2012. After floating through the Gulf, it landed here along the South Texas coast.

In the letter, Captain Lee goes on to explain his latest shrimping adventures.

He also encouraged the person who finds the letter to recycle the bottle by resending another message. Childers plans to fulfill that request.
