Kingsville (kiii sports) - The West Oso Bears, playing their first competitive game in over a week, sprinted to an 11-0 lead and never looked back on Thursday night as they lapped La Feria 74-28 to advance to the third round of the UIL playoffs.

The District 30-3A champions were coming off a bye in round one of the playoffs, but showed no signs of rust as they jumped to a double-digit lead in the first five minutes of the game in the Steinke Center in Kingsville.

Christian Johnson led all scorers with 23 points. Teammates Darius Sullivan and Devon Fox added 16 and 13 points respectively.

The Bears will play the winner of Friday night's Area- round playoff game between Sinton and Hidalgo.
