The Catholic church is making sure no one goes without a warm meal or a gift this holiday season.

Following a special blessing by Bishop Michael Mulvey, dozens of food baskets were handed out at Catholic charities on Wednesday.

The baskets came with all the trimmings, and even frozen turkeys. Toys were also given out.

Almost 2,000 families are expected to benefit from the generosity of church.

"It's an external sign of who we are as a church, Christians," Mulvey said. "Also a sign of our community. A sign that will continue."

The food baskets were put together by the Moody High School baseball team.
