The City's aggressive Click It or Ticket campaign continues all across town, and on Thursday, some drivers were stopped under the SPID and Staples Street turnaround.

A handful of Corpus Christi police officers spent a couple of hours making sure motorists and their passengers were all buckled in; but unbuckled seat belts were not the only violations that officers were looking for. They also checked for inspection stickers.

The Click It or Ticket enforcement period is not only an annual thing. Police said motorists should buckle up every time they get in the car for safety's sake, but also because they never know when another inspection point might be set up. It's a hefty fine if you're caught not buckled up.
