KINGSVILLE, Texas — If you've ever wanted to make a difference in a child's life, now may be your chance, by volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

The Brush Country CASA in Kingsville said they are in dire need of more advocates to volunteer their time.

Outreach Director Nicole Ortegon said they have are reaching out to the public for help; they have more children who need volunteers than there are advocates.

"Somebody that knows their situation, that can stand up for them, speak up for them in court, and make sure that they're not falling through the cracks of the system. It's so rewarding for the advocate and it's so beneficial for the child and their family," Ortegon said.
