A very special young woman who wanted to do her civic duty, despite some incredible challenges, was watching the polls during election day Tuesday.

"Everybody's been wonderful. I'm just like one of them," poll watcher Stefanie Gaulrapp said. "I think it's just been a great day. It's my first opportunity for me to come out here and be involved. It's just been awesome. I didn't really realize in the past how important it was."

Gaulrapp is quadriplegic, but she said she was not going to let her disability stop her from getting involved in this election. On Tuesday, she was a poll watcher at Gloria Hicks Elementary. She said the lines were steady and she was constantly busy, but she can't wait to do it all again.
