Over the last 60 years, Driscoll Children's Hospital has improved the health of our children. What better way to celebrate a milestone than throwing the biggest party in the city?
Driscoll celebrated its 60th birthday Thursday afternoon by throwing a party for their patients. The event was filled with music and games, along with a magic show for the children.
There was even a cake.
Representatives at the hospital said the children of South Texas are the reason Driscoll Children's Hospital was created 60 years ago, and they're the reason the hospital is still around today.
"Lots of fun activities in here, and today is one of the first birthday parties that we will be celebrating throughout the rest of the year," said Trish Carr of Driscoll of Children's Hospital.
On Friday, Driscoll will celebrate with their employees.
