A couple was jolted from their sleep before sunrise on Sunday when a pickup truck plowed through their porch.

"It felt like an explosion. I've been here over 50 years, and I have never experienced anything like this," said Eugenie Bolin, whose porch was destroyed. "It knocked me out of my bed."

It all happened at around 5 a.m. on Lantana and I-37. The truck not only crashed into the porch, but it also took out two parked cars in the driveway. Thankfully, the people inside the house, as well the driver, are all okay.

Police said the driver left the scene, and his truck was later recovered. However, the driver is still on the run.

"I couldn't get my clothes on fast enough, because I was hurting and I was going to come out here and try to hold onto him, but he took off," Bolin said.
