CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Volunteer actors put on elaborate costumes this morning to help tell the story about the true meaning of Easter.
Families gathered at Cole Park Sunday morning for the annual Easter Sunrise Passion Play. Now in it's 77th year, the traditional play takes place every Easter just as the sun begins to rise.
The live play always draws a big crowd. The play helps bring to life the story of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. This year, Rich Lockhart, a local musician played the coveted role of Jesus.
We had a live look as the play got underway this morning on 3 News First Edition.
