A family's home was threatened by flames after their shed caught fire on Tuesday morning.

"I was playing a game on my phone. Someone knocked on the door and I got up," said Diane Castellon, the owner of the home. "I went and answered the door, and he said, 'Your sheds on fire.' I went to the back and it was already a ball of the fire. I yelled at the kids to, 'Get out of the house, get out of the house."

Castellon rushed her family out of the home

The fire erupted just before 10 a.m., in the 1100 block of Vance. When fire crews arrived at the scene, the entire shed was engulfed. In fact, flames were starting to touch the home. Some blinds were left melted.

Fortunately, crews were able to knock down the blaze before any serious damage was caused to the home. Investigators are still trying to determine a cause.
