CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The 'dawgs were out tonight in Taft as the Greyhounds hosted the Banquete Bulldogs in their District 16 opener. Taft jumped out to a 14-0 lead behind the running of Jestin FLores and Juan Cantu. The Bulldogs would close the gap to 14-7 shortly before halftime, but Taft pulled away to a 28-7 win.

Bishop and Aransas Pass played a wild game to open up their District 16-2A schedules. The AP Panthers held on for a 40-34 victory in what could have been a decisive game in the race for a 16-2A title.

The Woodsboro Eagles were out to build on last year's playoff success as they continue their pre-district schedule at Agua Dulce. Woodsboro unpacked several pick plays to roll past the Longhorns 36-6.

The Moody Trojan Marching Band provided the musical entertainment to the Week 4 Marching Scoreboard.
