It was a good scare Thursday night, and for a good cause; a local effort to provide bicycles to needy children.
The Fright Night House, right across the street from Concrete Street Amphitheater, was open for those wanting to get an early Halloween chill.
Half of the proceeds from Thursday night's gate fees was set to be turned over to the Bikes for Kids effort. KBAY radio along with Bay Area Bikes give out over 150 bikes during the Christmas season to kids whose families cannot afford one.
"I wanted to give back to the kids," said Brandon Gonzalez, owner of the Fright Night House. "It's special. I have four kids of my own, so I really want to give back to the kids."
"It was really scary," said Kylie Navarre. "All these monsters and stuff. I had the scream of my lifetime."
If you missed out on this benefit, you can show up next Thursday, and they will be giving 50-percent of their ticket sales for that night to the Bikes for Kids.
