A major stretch of Gollihar Road could soon get a major makeover. A total reconstruction of Gollihar, between Kostoryz and Staples, is near the top of the City's 2014 list of bond proposals.
It's one of many projects voters in November will get a chance to vote on.
However, with the proposed 2014 bond projects on their way, 3News began to wonder what happened to all of the 2012 bond projects approved by voters, many of which have yet to begin construction.
"I've personally talked to the city manager and staff about bond projects being delayed," District 2 Councilman Chad Magill said. "The delays, from what I'm seeing, are from cost increases, from competition with the Eagle Ford Shale, with companies frankly wanting to work more in the private sector than the public sector."
Magill did say there has been some talk about the City possibly doing the work itself, but right now no decision has been made on whether to do that or not.
