CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Medical experts joined 3News at 5 p.m. Wednesday to answer your calls and questions about vaccinations for children.
According to experts at the Corpus Christi Nueces County Public Health District, you can protect your children from Vaccine-Preventable Diseases by getting them vaccinated. You should make sure your kids get any needed vaccines before the back-to-school rush.
The following are vaccinations for children:
- Kindergarten entry should be up-to-date with Dtap, IPV, MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis A
- Seventh-grade entry should be up-to-date with Tdap, Meningitis, and HPV
- 16-year-olds need to get a Meningitis Booster
