High speed chase ends with a motorcycle crash on Padre Island

The driver refused to pull over and led troopers on a high speed chase that reached speeds of up to one hundred and thirty miles an hour.

Corpus Christi (Kiii News) — A motorcycle driver allegedly trying to outrun law enforcement officers ended up in the hospital after crashing his bike on Padre Island. DPS troopers report they began pursuing the driver around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night in the Port Aransas area.

The driver refused to pull over and led troopers on a high speed chase that reached speeds of up to one hundred and thirty miles an hour. The chase came to an end just before 10:30 p.m. on Padre Island. The driver was taken to the hospital.

His condition is unknown at this hour. The driver could be facing charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
