CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Hooks avenged a stinging loss to the Drillers Friday by knocking off Tulsa 3-2 Saturday night to take two of three in the series.

Corpus Christi starter Brady Rogers threw five no-hit innings and faced the minimum number of batter before being pulled thanks to the Astros' "co-starter system." Rogers left with a 2-0 lead, but the Hooks' bullpen couldn't hold it as Tulsa forced extra innings.

Corpus Christi responded in the tenth inning however as Preston Tucker unloaded a bases loaded walkoff shot off the wall scoring Nolan Fontana.

The Hooks (7-2) will start a three-game series with Springfield at Whataburger Field beginning Sunday at 1:10 p.m.
