35 Kids Get Brand New Beds Before School Year

These kids have no idea they're not actually here to watch baseball. All they know is there's a surprise inside.

These kids have no idea they're not actually here to watch baseball. All they know is there's a surprise inside.

"Do you think it's for school? Maybe? Yeah!" said 4-year-old Mandalynn Davis to her mom.

"My husband's the only one working I'm a full time student and it's hard just going paycheck to paycheck," said Amanda Chamberlain, mom to Mandalynn.

Ashley Home Store is giving 35 kids in need, like 4-year-old Mandalynn and her family, brand new beds with goodies to get them ready for school. So on the count of three it was time for the big reveal.

"Go see your new beds!"

Some kids...literally flipping out...so many smiles to see something so many take for granted.

Before this 1st grader Sidney had a crib on the floor.

"How's it feel? Comfy!" said Sidney Olivier.

16-year-old Daniella lost her entire room to a house fire in July.

"I was happy and surprised that you guys would do this for all of us," said Daniella Gomez.

And 2-year-old Lige just got adopted out of foster care.

"He's ready for his bed...and for the microphone," said Alicia Blevins, mom to Lige.

The Hooks players there to sign autographs for the kids too. Ashley Home Store calling this a major success, and all the kids, even the youngest, left with two words to say.

"Say thank you. Thank you!" said Lige.
