A.C. Jones High School gets a tour by the Texas Education Agency

The high school felt honored to be one of the schools chosen to be toured.

BEEVILLE, Texas — A.C. Jones High School in Beeville, Texas, received a visit Tuesday by a special agency to learn about all they have to offer.

The Texas Education Agency toured A.C. Jones High School to learn more about their innovative career and technology programming. The TEA is trying to go across the state and learn about different programs that are available.

The high school felt honored to be one of the schools chosen to be toured. 

"We don't have a lot of flash, but we have a lot of things that are very solid and reach out to kids and their futures, and to reach out to these kids to get them motivated," Assistant Principal Jay Viertel said.

According to Viertel, in the Beeville area, there's a real need in health care professionals, law enforcement, and other jobs. 

A.C. Jones High School feels confident about the programs they have for their students.
