Agriculture students prepare in Kingsville to become 4-H ambassador

Thursday's meeting was the first time Kingsville hosted the seminar.

KINGSVILLE, Texas — Agriculture students from across the state are preparing for their future, and on Thursday they got a hands-on lesson on what it means to be a 4-H ambassador.

Students gathered at the Texas A&M University-Kingsville agriculture building and worked on team building skills and mock interviews.

The students' participation is one of the steps in becoming a 4-H ambassador, which is a goal for many hoping to further their future in the field.

"It's important for youth to be educated and involved on livestock because we learn so many premiere leadership opportunities as well as we are in the future of feeding the world, for the future of developing livestock breeds and keeping the industry alive," student Makenzie Thames.
