Texas A&M University-Kingsville announced Tuesday that AMC's Breaking Bad actor RJ Mitte will host an equality and diversity lecture in February.

Mitte's will deliver an "Overcoming Adversity: Turning a Disadvantage to an Advantage," presentation in the Jones Auditorium Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. Mitte will draw from his experiences on and off camera and engage the audience in a discussion about diversity and acceptance.

Key points during Mitte's presentation will be his strategies for overcoming adversity, being bullied, and how hard work and determination can boldly and triumphantly help achieve any goal.

During the Breaking Bad series, Mitte starred as Walter "Flynn" White, Jr for 53 episodes.

The event is free to the public and doors are scheduled to open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis, and a question and answer session will follow the presentation.
