CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Runners were on their marks at Bob Hall Pier on Saturday morning for the Sandcastle Run.
The 5K was put on by Nueces County Commissioner of Precinct 4 Brent Chesney to raise awareness for children struggling with diabetes.
All the proceeds from the event will go towards the American Diabetes Association’s Camp Sandcastle.
Camp Sandcastle is a summer camp that provides children with diabetes a space to take part in fun outdoor activities.
