Businesswomen celebrated in Robstown for 23rd annual banquet

The mayor of Robstown proclaimed June 13 as Nina Vaca Day for the City of Robstown.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was a night all about celebrating women in business Thursday at the Richard M Borchard Fairgrounds for the 23rd annual banquet of Robstown Area Development Commission.

Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales, Port of Corpus Christi CEP Sean Strawbridge and State Representative Abel Herrero were all in attendance to hear from guest speaker Nina Vaca.

Vaca is the CEO of the Pinnacle Group, which is a company that specializes in IT services for companies across the nation. Vaca is one of only a few Latinas in the country nation who has attained that status in the world of business.

"The fastest growing women-owned business in 2018 is run by a Latina, so I am proud. So i am here to share my experiences. I'm here to share empower women to raise their hand. To be courageous, to start their businesses or become leaders," Vaca said.
