Car accidents shutdown Crosstown Expressway Friday morning

Police said the man was unresponsive at the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital.

Corpus Christi (KIII News) — Over a dozen cars crashed into each other Friday morning on Highway 358 near the Ayers exit after a rollover on Baldwin.

According to officials, a 19-year-old man hit a barrier then swerved and flipped his car over at the Baldwin.

Traffic was bumper to bumper behind the man and police think one car may have crashed into another causing a ripple effect on Highway 358.

Police said the man was unresponsive at the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital.

UPDATE: Family members tell us that Juan Enrique Vivero was listed in critical condition. The man's wife, said, "while he is in critical condition at this time, he is very lucky to be alive and the family appriciates all the prayers and hopital visits."
