CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi's City Council will vote on a Bond 2014 traffic signal improvement project on Tuesday.
The bond project focuses on Ennis Joslin and the southern end of Ocean Drive and includes new traffic signals, pedestrian push button poles, and other equipment with ADA ramps, signage and pavement markings.
"It'll be easier sequencing traffic wise in the area. Especially emergency response or anything happening at the university," Yvette Garcia-Jones said.
The improvements will make any evacuations of the area more accessible.
The bond project costs $1.8 million and was approved as Proposition 2 in the 2014 bond. If the bond is approved, the project is expected to be completed in November.
