The sold-out show at the Tuluso-Midway Performing Arts Center ended the first night of the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show with the crowning of the 2018 queen.

17-year-old ladies each represented a different 4-H, and FFA club took the stage to compete in the pageant.

"This is such a honor ever since I was little I have looked up to the other kids, and the queens and it has been such an amazing year to be that girl that little girls are looking up too, and it has just been an amazing experience," said 2017 NCJLS Queen Reagan Hoelscher.

The 2018 queen was named Rebecca Plagen, and she is from the Calallen FFA chapter. Congratulations to this year's NCJLS Queen, Rebecca Plagens!
