CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Ronal McDonald House received a big donation Thursday from the Corpus Christi IceRays.

The IceRays presented the charity with a check for $6,500 on Thursday. All the money was raised during the last game of the season through an auction of 24 jerseys modeled after Ronald McDonald himself.

"The IceRays are very involved in our community and anything we can do for the kids, that's what we love to do," IceRays President Cassidy Lange said.

Lange said events like these are the team's favorite because they love raising money for the kids that need it the most.
