CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A driver was killed Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident on Tuloso Road at Leopard Street.
According to police, a red SUV was traveling north on Tuloso Road and failed to yield at Leopard. The SUV was t-boned by a Jeep traveling east on Leopard.
Police said a group of good samaritans stopped to help the driver of the SUV. She was taken to Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital where she later died.
The Nueces County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim Friday as 29-year-old Priscilla Salas.
"Some really good citizens of Corpus Christi came over and helped push the vehicle up to be able to get to the driver, and the ambulance transported the driver to Shoreline hospital to the trauma center," CCPD Sr. Officer Richard Olden said.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to the hospital to be checked out. Police said he will not be cited for the accident.
