Energy leaders discuss growth in the Coastal Bend

The survey found that the community is very positive about future growth with top concerns centering around roads and traffic, jobs and employment, as well as water supply.

Corpus Christi (KIII News) — Energy leaders in the community came together Monday afternoon at the Solomon P. Ortiz Center to learn more about what the City is saying about growth in the area.

For the 15th year, the Port Industries of Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries program teamed up for a community survey. The 2018 study focused on economic development.

"It's another form of outreach. The best way for the Coastal Bend Bays and the Port Industries to better understand what the community and the region feels about certain issues associated with the development or the environment is to ask them," said Renwick Deville Harris of Deville & Associates.

The survey found that the community is very positive about future growth with top concerns centering around roads and traffic, jobs and employment, as well as water supply.
