FEMA representatives announced a change Thursday to the hours of their disaster recovery center in Nueces County.
Officials said the center, which is located in the parking lot of La Palmera Mall, will be closed on Sundays going forward.
The center houses specialists from FEMA and the SBA who are on hand to answer questions about the different relief options available to residents as a result of Hurricane Harvey. They said a lack of traffic has led to their decision to close on Sundays.
This week's cold blast caused a temporary closure to the center but it is back up and operational.
