Flint Hills Resources donates $69,000 to first responders

Since the program started in 2012, over $900,000 in grants have been awarded in Texas.

Flint Hills Resources announced during a ceremony Monday morning that they will award $69,000 to 19 different fire, EMTs, and police departments.

The money will help fund training, education, and emergency notification needs.

The grant is part of the company's Helping Heroes program as a way to say thank you to first responders and City agencies for what they do for the community.

Since the program started in 2012, over $900,000 in grants have been awarded in Texas.
