CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) — Former City Council candidate Eric Lee Tunchez turned himself into the Nueces County Jail Thursday afternoon.

Tunchez was indicted earlier this week for promotion of prostitution. The indictment states that a Grand Jury has charged Tunchez with knowingly owning and managing a prostitution enterprise involving two prostitutes.

In a Facebook post-Thursday, Tunchez stated: "I have been indicted on a charge 4 days before the election stemming from January of 2017 and I now have to turn myself in."

Bond for Tunchez has been set at $20,000. He is expected to face a magistrate judge on Friday.
