Former Corpus Christi Mayor Dan McQueen has announced that he is no longer running for U.S. Senate, according to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.

McQueen, who was elected Mayor of Corpus Christi last year but only held the position for 37 days, announced earlier this year that he intended to run for U.S. Senate against Ted Cruz. However, according to Caller-Times, he said Friday that he is no longer running and will instead support candidate Bruce Jacobson.
