Four hospitalized after driver flips car into watery ditch on Yorktown and Rodd Field

Four people are hospitalized after their car flipped into a ditch.

Corpus Christi (Kiii News) — Four people were taken to an area hospital late Wednesday night after losing control of their sports car on the south side of town.

Officers were called out around 10:15 to Yorktown and Rodd Field road after the driver sped past a stop sign.

Four people were inside a Camero when they flipped and skidded into a watery ditch.

Investigators say they suffered minor injuries which could have been worse if they were not wearing their seatbelts.

No tickets have been issued as of yet.

Police say the wet road conditions could have played a large part in the accident.

Construction plans are underway to improve the area where this accident happened including better lighting.
