Governor Greg Abbott joined state and local leaders Tuesday in Fulton, Texas, to announce a $1 million donation of funds and equipment from the Kubota Tractor Corporation to assist in the Hurricane Harvey relief effort.

The donation will help residents of Aransas County and surrounding areas with equipment and tools needed to clear debris and rebuild homes and businesses devastated by Harvey.

“This donation speaks to the character and integrity of Kubota and their investment in the people of Texas,” Abbott said. “I am extremely proud of how our state and companies like Kubota have responded to this storm, and this donation serves as a reminder that we are all in this together. Hurricane Harvey caused unprecedented damage, but no storm can match the Texas spirit, and nothing is more powerful than a united Texas.”

Along with the governor and other local leaders, representatives from Kubota were present during Tuesday's announcement as well as Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp, who heads up the Governor's Commission on Harvey Relief.
