ROCKPORT, Texas — Students at Rockport and Gregory-Portland High School gathered Tuesday for a mini-reunion.

Culinary skills students from each school were brought together for their version of Cupcake Wars. Students learning to be chefs went head to head to see who can come up with the best cupcakes and to do it the fastest.

Tuesday's reunion was the first time the students have been back together since having to share a school after Hurricane Harvey left Rockport High School severely damaged.

"We had about 44 students and both chef, and I looked at each other like 'what are we gonna do,' and we thought Cupcake Wars. It turned out excellent the kids had a ton of fun, and we learned a lot about the kids and school as well," teacher Emily Drown and Marcus Rios said
