Fire crews in Kingsville had their hands full Wednesday morning battling a blaze at a home on Kenedy Avenue.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. and left extensive damage to the second floor of the home. Fire crews said the age of the home made the fire especially hard to battle.
"Again, this particular structure is a little older. The construction is a little different. It was a challenging fire," Kingsville Fire Chief Adrian Garcia said. "We did require additional mutual aid."
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Red Cross is helping the family with emergency supplies. There has been no word yet as to what caused the blaze.
