CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A kickoff party for Lemonade Day was held Wednesday at Raising Cane's Restaurant on SPID and Staples.
During Lemonade Day, kids around the Coastal Bend find what it takes to run a business.
Lemonade Day is an annual project that teaches kids all across the U.S. what it takes to run a lemonade stand all by themselves. The event teaches kids the value of such things as making a business plan and setting goals.
"Put up different stands around the community and hopefully empower children," general manager Billy Grace said.
2019 was the first year that Cane's hosted the event in Corpus Christi.
Lemonade Day officially kicks off nationwide on May 11.
