Corpus Christi (KIII News) — Ears perked up and tails wagged Thursday night in Corpus Christi.

That's because Mission Pawsible of Corpus Christi hosted it’s 5th annual Struttin' for Strays fundraiser.

3News First Edition anchor, Kristin Diaz, was the emcee.

People and dogs dressed up and walked the runway to show off fashions for both.

All the benefits will go to all the local doggies out there that are on the streets, or in abusive homes.

"Mission Pawsible, it's a really great cause,” Bella Williford, a volunteer for Mission Pawsible, said.

“They get a lot of animals that come from abusive homes that do require surgeries, they require medical care. All of that gets really costly so every dollar really goes a long way."

Tickets were $30. If you missed the event that went from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, you can always donated to the organization by going to its website.
