Corpus Christi (KIII News) — Police at the Corpus Christi International Airport are investigating how a man was able to get onto the tarmac.

On Thursday airport officials said people inside the terminal spotted a man as he tried to make his way onto the airfield.

Officers were able to arrest the man but have yet to release his identity.

According to airport police, a search of the man's car revealed several hunting firearms all of which were legally owned.

Currently, the man is charged with trespassing. The incident did not cause any delays for travelers.
